Denise Harris receives Irish Excellence Award from BITA
While attending their 10th Anniversary celebrations in London on Saturday night, Harris Group CEO, Denise Harris was honoured to accept the Irish Excellence Award from BITA (British and Irish Trading Alliance).
The award recognised Denise’s amazing leadership skills, commitment to sustainability and her support for young people. It felt particularly appropriate that Denise received the award in London – the birthplace of Harris Group founder and Denise’s late husband, Pino, who was born in Whitechapel in an air-raid shelter during the war.
Commenting on the accolade, Denise said:
“I do not view this as a personal award but as one for all who are involved in the Harris Group, both directly within the Group – here and in the UK – and also, those who support the group, our dealers, our bodybuilders from our valeters to our transporters and our customers.
It is humbling to know that others are appreciative of our endeavours and everyone may be confident that we will do everything we possibly can to ensure that carbon emissions are reduced and thereby help to create a healthier climate for all to enjoy.
While Harris Group is making great progress in the electric vehicle industry, we can not do it alone, so I would like to take this opportunity to encourage you all to take action for the betterment of our planet and to create a healthier and prosperous future for today’s youth.”
