LDV wins LCV Manufacturer of the Year at GreenFleet Awards
Harris Group are delighted to share that LDV have been awarded the LCV Manufacturer of the Year award at the 2019 GreenFleet Awards held in the British Motor Museum.
The GreenFleet Awards recognise companies that are driving innovation and developments in sustainability and reducing the impact of emissions from fleet vehicles. The awards are now in their 15th year and their green agenda is more relevant than ever.
The LCV Manufacturer of the Year award recognises the efforts made by manufacturers to reduce CO₂ and increase fuel economy in the Light Commercial Vehicle Sector.
Harris Group is proud to be the distributor for the LDV range of vehicles in the UK, Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Malta and Cyprus. LDV leads the way in high-quality, light commercial vehicles and minibuses. The LDV range offers some of the most advanced vehicles in their class and are focused on innovation and eco-fuelled commercial motoring. Leading this eco- and technological revolution is the EV80 electric van which features zero-emissions technology, lower running costs and reduced environmental impacts, and is capable of 120 miles on a single charge.
Mark Barrett, General Manager at LDV UK and Ireland, commented:
“The first time we won the GreenFleet Award, our flagship zero emission van was still considered new to market. Designed with zero emissions technology together with advanced electric power systems and boasting a 120-mile range on a single charge, the EV80 was considered a game-changer among industry experts. Now, the EV80 is a reliable choice for fleet drivers and decision makers who want to avoid hefty congestion charges, future-proof their business and join the green revolution.”
The GreenFleet Awards showcase success stories from our industry and demonstrate the ever-increasing and improving developments in sustainable motoring.
“The GreenFleet Awards give us a chance to step back and celebrate the progress that has been made in the motoring industry in terms of sustainability and the environment,” added Barrett.
“While there is still a long way to go in order for us to achieve our mission, we can happily agree that we are well on the way. ”
